The Ocean View Art Show is getting ready to turn the corner on its 57th annual fall show, making it Virginia's oldest and largest artist run, art show! Overlooking the beautiful Chesapeake Bay the OV Art Show is the kickoff event for Visual Arts Month in Norfolk! Painters, sculptors, jewelers, photographers and people alike fill Ocean View Beach Park as they spend two days enjoying the art, entertainment, food, and fun that is supplied for everyone!!! The Ocean View Art Show also hosts a Student Art Show within the event, where local Middle and High School students are able to display their Artwork and are juried for awards.
An excellent cast of local music acts will perform and delicious smells from our local food vendors will fill the air. The OV Art Show is one of the oldest art shows in Virginia and is directed by member artists of the Chesapeake Bay Art Association. The Art Association was formed in the OV Area in 1961 and has been actively promoting and helping artists since its inception. Each year the OV Art Show directs its proceeds to the John B. Tenney Memorial Scholarship Fund. The Fund awards scholarships to talented graduating seniors who plan to further their education in the field of art.
